JOHN MCCANN – SAIL CANADA / ASA INSTRUCTOR

After a 35 year career as a professional pilot I’ve switched to a slower but much more enjoyable mode of travel. I now have the pleasure of teaching adult sailing lessons here in Sylvan Lake as well as out on Vancouver Island.

In my free time I enjoy travelling with my wife, and look forward to any opportunity to spend time on the water.

Your success is my priority. I provide a personal approach, tailoring learning methods to each student’s needs. I have a simple mission now – ensure you are safe and comfortable on the water.

I am qualified to teach both through Sail Canada, and the American Sailing Association. These instructional sailing programs are built upon years of experience with thousands of students on various sailboats.

Sail Canada Qualifications:

• Advanced sailing
• Intermediate cruising instructor
• Coastal navigation instructor
• Cruising catamaran instructor
• Examiner for Industry Canada Marine Radio licencing – ROC(M)
• PCOC examiner for Transport Canada
